About the artist
For much of the first 30 years of my life, I had wanted to learn how to draw, to be able to put the images I had in my head down as art. I dabbled when I had time, but something didn’t quick click for me.
Instead, I took the practical route in life: I studied science at university and ran businesses before working for the Australian Government. But in 2016, thanks to the support of my supportive partners, I decided to make a change. I started committing more time and money to my art.
That is also when I finally found my medium: digital art. I have also included artificial intelligence into some of my works. I love the ability to meld technology with art, both in the creation of the art and with printing, where my preferred medium for many pieces is dye sublimation on aluminium.
In 2023, I got my first major achievement, being a finalist in the National Capital Art Prize here in Canberra, for this piece below.
